Kids Club. £22 pp

Thorpe Lakes love to get kids out on the water and having a great time. Kids Club is all about introducing children into the sport of cable wakeboarding in a fun, safe and easy environment and is a great way for children to meet new friends and learn an exciting new sport together.

With the cable running at a much slower speed and extra help all around the site it is sure to make the session fun in a safe and relaxing environment. Kids start, by learning on a kneeboard, the techniques and theory required close to the shore, before advancing onto the main four corner cable system.

Once they are successfully completing 3 laps of the main cable our instructors will be on hand to aid in their transition onto a wakeboard and through the BWSW Cutting Edge Bronze Award.

Sessions run on Saturday and Sunday Mornings from the beginning of May to the end of September and during the school holidays Tuesday, Thursday and Friday sessions are added.

All the equipment is provided so just bring a towel and swim suit and our lake side café will be open for parents to enjoy freshly ground coffee and bacon sandwiches!

Development Squad. £22 pp

Once kids have mastered their BWSW Cutting Edge Bronze Award it’s time to step it up a level into development squad where our development squad instructors are on hand to focus on board control and skill development.

With a slight increase in cable speed and ability of their surrounding peers children now have the opportunity to work through their BWSW Cutting Edge Silver and Gold Awards. Development squad participants are now eligible for open sessions with many joining the Thorpe Lakes Academy and going on to represent GB at European and World Wakeboard Events!

Thorpe Lakes Academy

The Thorpe Lakes Academy provides a platform for up and coming young talents to further better their riding and socialise with other advanced wakeboarders of a similar age. Almost all the academy have progressed through our kids club and development squad and now benefit from the academies focus on developing young wakeboarders into becoming contenders for an illustrious place on The Great Britain Wakeboard Team. Resulting in the opportunity to represent their country at European and World Championships.
